Portrait of Winsome Hutchinson

Founder, President & CEO · Writer–Producer

W. Hutchinson

W. Hutchinson is a writer and a mother who believes in challenging the status quo — and who believes that culture and heritage matter not only to and for Jamaicans, but for the world at large.

Through Suggahland Film Production she reaps authentic stories rooted in Jamaican soil — those of resilience, family and truth — and brings them to the global screen, starting with her debut feature, Jamaica 1950s–1980 / Let The Healing Begin.

Founder’s Statement

Our heritage is the plantation. Every story is a harvest.

Portrait of Sean Broughton

CTO · Creative Director

Sean Broughton

Fifteen years in corporate technology taught Sean Broughton how to build things that hold. Ten years behind a camera taught him what is worth pointing one at. As CTO and Creative Director he brings both to Suggahland — the architecture beneath the work, and the eye on top of it.

A photographer learns to wait for the light and to trust a single frame; an engineer learns to build what survives contact with the world. That pairing is the ground Suggahland stands on — and how a Jamaican story gets carried from the first pitch to the global screen.
